On October 26, 2021, Alphabet reported its third quarter results for 2021, illustrating once again the underlying strength of the company’s business model as the covid-19 pandemic continues to accelerate the trend towards online related services and the cloud. Once again, Alphabet reported strong earnings growth in the quarter under review, with total revenues increasing by $18.9bn or 41% on a comparative basis, from $46.2bn in Q320 to $65.1bn in Q321. On a quarterly basis, total revenues climbed by 5.2% (Q220: $61.9bn). This strong quarterly performance is primarily attributable to an improvement across all of the company’s business segments, namely continued strength in Google Search, YouTube, and Google Network.
