On February 2, 2021, Alphabet reported its fourth quarter and full year results for financial year 2020, showing the underlying strength of the business model as the covid-19 pandemic accelerated the trend to transition to online services and the cloud. Alphabet reported strong earnings growth in the fourth quarter, with total revenues increasing from $46 billion to $56.9 billion a year-on-year increase of 23%. On a yearly basis, total revenues climbed by 13% to $182.5 billion. The strong quarterly performance was primarily attributed to Google Search and YouTube, and the continued strength in Google Cloud.
